Drug Manufacturing License

This license is issued by the State of California, Department of Health and Human Services, Food and Drug Branch. The State of California requires all drug manufacturers to be licensed. Drug manufacturers can only be licensed after meeting strict regulation requirements and after receiving a passing result from an inspection conducted by the State of California.

GMP Certification by Natural Products Association (NPA)

This certification is issued by the NPA (Natural Products Association) only to those companies who have met certain requirements, which are verified through a third-party auditing program. Best Formulations takes pride in achieving this certification representing the highest of standards of quality in the industry.

NSF GMP Registration

The NSF GMP Registration program verifies that manufacturers recognize the importance of product safety and quality manufacturing. Personnel, plant, equipment, production process and control systems, and documentation are evaluated to ensure compliance to NSF/ANSI Standard 173 GMP requirements, which are consistent with the published GMP regulation for dietary supplements, as defined in the FDA’s 21 CFR 111.

NSF GMP for Sport Designation

NSF International’s GMP for Sport program is designed to minimize the risk that a dietary supplement or sports nutrition product contains banned substances. This particular program was created to meet the growing demands of athletes, coaches, and others concerned about banned substances in sports supplements.

Processed Food Registration

This registration allows for the manufacture of products classified as "food". Dietary supplements, teas, powdered drink mixes all fall within this classification. Best Formulations achieved this registration by passing rigorous standards and inspection by the State of California, Department of Health and Human Services, Food and Drug Branch.

Cosmetic Registration

This registration allows Best Formulations to manufacture products that may be classified as cosmetics. Best Formulations achieved this registration by passing rigorous standards of quality through an inspection conducted by the State of California, Department of Health and Human Services, Food and Drug Branch.

Permit for Chemical Precursors

This permit allows Best Formulation to purchase, process, and sell certain chemicals considered to be precursors to illegal drugs or controlled substances. Best Formulation achieved this permit by meeting strict requirements through the State of California Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement.

Registration of Drug Establishment

All drug manufacturers that do business in the United States must file for a Registration of Drug Establishment annually. This registration is issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and assigns a registration number and a labeler code (or NDC) number.

Domestic Chemical Diversion Control Registration Certificate

This certificate allows Best Formulations to purchase and sell certain chemicals used in drug manufacturing that may be harmful or abused if not controlled under strict guidelines. Best Formulations achieved this certificate by meeting strict regulations and requirements through the U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).

License to Manufacture Dangerous Drugs

This license is issued to individuals who have the necessary experience to supervise the manufacture of drug products. These individuals must meet rigid requirements and must pass a test to achieve this license. The test and license is administrated through the California State Board of Pharmacy.

Public Health License

This license is issued by the Los Angeles Country Department of Health. Best Formulations is constantly inspected by county officials to assure that we maintain our high standards of cleanliness, and to ensure that the design of our facility meets or exceeds the quality standards of the Los Angeles County Department of Health.
