and Founder
 Charlie
graduated from National Taiwan University majoring in
Agricultural Chemistry. After doing graduate work at the
University of Oregon, Charlie served as technical director
in charge of research, product development, and quality
control at Rich Life Vitamins. He later joined the Nature's
Sunshine overseeing their technical department. In his
30 plus years in the health food industry, Charlie has
developed literally hundreds of nutritional products and
formulations generating millions in sales. His intimate
knowledge of this business is an invaluable and priceless

Donald R. Steele |
Vice President, Softgels
 Don has over 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical, medical, and nutritional industries covering all aspects including product formulation, research and produc development, plant and machine design, manufacturing, and marketing. After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps, Don graduated Cum Laude from Appalachian State University, with dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Chemistry and in Biology. Don's medical and pharmaceutical work experience has been with such nationally known companies as, Travenol Laboratories, E.R. Squibb Corporation, Britt Corporation, Edward Weck, and Lawrence Medical Systems. Don has been credited with a number of Softgel discoveries and advancements, including the development of the first OTC in a Softgel.

Robin C. Koon |
Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing
 Academic:
BSM, MBA, CPhT
Robin has a broad background in clinical pharmacy and nutraceutical and pharmaceutical manufacturing with over twenty-five years experience in clinical pharmacy. Besides filling prescriptions, he has worked as a drug chain executive overseeing operations, managed-care (PBM), and in retail mass market (drug chain). He is licensed with the California State Board of Pharmacy and sits on the Board of the California Pharmacist Association. His manufacturing experience includes purchasing, formulation, R&D, and sales and marketing. He has worked for various employers such as Horton & Converse Pharmacies, Thrifty-Payless Drug stores, Medco, Merck Pharmaceuticals, Fedco Super Stores, PureTek Corporation, and at Robinson Pharma, Inc. His leadership and experience has helped to grow Best Formulations significantly over the past few years. |
Chima I. Osuala, PHD.,
| Technical Director
 Chima
holds a doctorate in Nutrition and Food Chemistry / Biochemistry
and has been published in various scientific journals.
His experience as a quality assurance supervisor makes
him a valuable member of Best Formulations team as Chima
understands the importance of the relationship between
scientific research and manufacturing in the nutritional
supplement industry. Chima is a certified ISO 9000 auditor
and has extensive expertise in quality assurance, GMP
(Good Manufacturing Practice) documentation and regulatory
affairs. |

Nighat Ansari | Vice President,
Quality & Regulatory Affairs
 Nighat
brings twenty years of experience to Best Formulations
in quality assurance, quality systems, and quality control.
She has extensive operational knowledge in pharmaceutical,
biotech, nutritional and cosmetic industries. She holds
a BS in Chemistry and Microbiology and a MS in Chemistry.
Nighat has contributed to several leading
pharmaceutical and nutritional companies such as GMP Laboratories
of America, ICN, and Baxter. |
Jeff Hensley | Project
Supervisor
 Jeff
brings over 25 years of direct industry experience with
a comprehensive scope of all areas of production managing
including product development, formulation, GMP implementation,
plant design, etc. Jeff’s vast and extensive knowledge
in various dosage forms including powders, liquids, creams,
gels, tablets (chewable, film coated, sugar coated, enteric
coated), capsules, triturations and more make him a valuable
member of the Best Formulations team. |
