R&D Formulations

1. Raw Material Sourcing

You can't build a Cadillac from spare parts. The most important ingredient in your product is "quality". Therefore, our R&D works closely with our Purchasing and Supply Chain group to source the highest quality material to use in all of our customer's products.

2. Pre-Formulation

Once the proper raw materials are sourced, we receive all the technical information from the suppliers. This information is necessary to ensure that your product formulation will meet the specifications you have provided. The necessary amounts of each are indicated on a pre-formulation record. This is the record that we will use to provide costing.

3. Pilot Runs

A series of pilot runs can be done to prove the credibility of the formula and the processing steps. These pilot runs can also be used for testing to ensure that the products contain the proper amounts and overages necessary to meet the product claim.

4. Scale-Up Production Batch

Each of our initial production batches are run as trials. This means that they are closely monitored. Even the slightest deviation is documented and approved. Suggestions made during production are noted and reviewed to provide the R&D group feedback which may be used to modify future batches. All production batches are copies of a Master Record that has been signed and dated by the formulator and checked, signed, and dated by both the Quality Assurance Director and the Director of Manufacturing.
